Instructors:  Master Matt Stonerock holds the rank of Rokudan, 6th degree Black belt, and is the head instructor of the Nashville branch of the American Karate Academy.
Sensei Stonerock performs exciting open hand and weapons forms (katas). A champion in many tournaments, he has excelled as well in teaching kata and sparring concepts. He is also the leader of the AKA demonstration team.

Sensei Stonerock joined the American Karate Academy and began training with Grand Master Danny Chapman in 1999. He has attended the world famous Karate College and has participated in several IKSA Annual Seminars. Sensei has been involved in various martial arts since he was 11 years old and has had previous training prior to joining the American Karate Academy in Seikan Karate, Wado-Ryu, Aikido, And Chinese Kenpo.

Programs:  Classes are available for children ages 5-12 and adults 13 years or older. Please sign up for classes at the front desk of the Margaret Maddox Y.M.C.A. center.

Saturday - 10:00am-10:45am
Advanced (5-12)
Wednesday - 6:30pm-7:15pm
Saturday - 11:00am to 11:45am
Adults (13&Up)
Saturday - 12:00pm-1:30pm
